Job Title: SEM Website Manager
The Section of Emergency Medicine (SEM) is a group of BC’s emergency physicians that serve to advocate for Emergency Medicine and the Section’s members.
Job Description: As a Website Manager at the SEM, you will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and optimization of our website. You will work with executive members to ensure that our online platform aligns with our goals and provides an exceptional user experience. The Website is sem-bc.com
Key Responsibilities:
Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain the website content, ensuring accuracy, and relevance.
User Experience (UX): Optimize the website’s UX by conducting user research, implementing best practices, and continuously improving site navigation and functionality.
Content Management: If requested assist with creating and publishing engaging, high-quality content, this may include articles, images, videos, and other multimedia elements.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor website traffic and user behavior using analytics tools and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
Website Security: Ensure the website is secure and protected against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Responsive Design: Ensure the website is responsive and accessible across various devices and browsers.
Qualifications:
Education within a related field (e.g., Web Design, Marketing, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
Experience in website management and content creation.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and web design principles (coding skills are a plus but not required).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail.
